Enterprise Innovation Institute
The Enterprise Innovation Institute is Georgia Tech’s economic development arm, comprised of more than a dozen programs. It’s the largest and most comprehensive university-based program of its kind in the United States. Its core focus areas include entrepreneurship and startup development, business and industry growth, ecosystem development, and international outreach.
Through the Enterprise Innovation Institute, Georgia Tech encourages statewide economic development and plays a significant role in the state’s innovation ecosystem. Enterprise Innovation Institute staff embedded in 12 locations across Georgia serve all 159 counties. In 2021, Enterprise Innovation Institute programs worked with 15,506 clients to create or save more than 11,000 jobs and secure $1.4 billion in capital investments. Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC)
ATDC is Georgia’s technology business incubator, helping entrepreneurs navigate the startup landscape — from the idea stage through launch, scale, and success.
VentureLab
VentureLab works with faculty and students to create startups grounded in Georgia Tech research. The unit provides guidance, funding, and best practices to bring ideas to market.
Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership (GaMEP)
GaMEP partners with manufacturers to execute on-site projects, lead training, and connect manufacturers to Institute resources and our partners across Georgia.
Commercialization
Georgia Tech provides opportunities for faculty and students to commercialize their research into startups, often growing to become leading companies in their fields.
