Recent BBISS Publication Inspires Cover Art
Apr 30, 2019 — Atlanta, GA
A recent issue of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Research features a cover article co-authored by BBISS researchers. The article's title is "Using the Green Solvent Dimethyl Sulfoxide To Replace Traditional Solvents Partly and Fabricating PVC/PVC-g-PEGMA Blended Ultrafiltration Membranes with High Permeability and Rejection."
The different colors depict the fluid mixing effect of the different solvents used to make the membrane material discussed in the article. The green color represents the solvent dimethyl sulfoxide. The other colors represent a variety of solvents that are commonly used in filtration membrane manufacturing. The blue background is meant to show that the membrane produced by this process has good potential for water treatment.
